This property has undergone a major refurbishment in the recent past and this year I replaced the sofa, loveseat, and living area chairs. I also replaced the last remnants of carpeting in the master and 2nd bedroom with wood laminate. Previously carpeting in the loft and main mid floor was replaced with hardwood flooring. Tile replaced the carpet in the back bedroom that leads to the back porch. Four new twin beds have been placed in the loft and small back bedroom. A queen bed was removed from the master bedroom and two new full beds were placed in the master bedroom. New lighting has been added to each downstairs bedroom. The unit now accomodates 10 people in beds.
The kitchen was refurbished with new wood cabinet doors, a new granite countertop, new sink and faucet. A soap dispenser and water filter were added to the sink. The appliances have been upgraded with a range/oven, Dishwasher, and new refrigerator this year (2016).,
The location is at the end of the street from the Bottle and Cork nightclub and two blocks from the Starboard Bar. It is short walk to everything Dewey Beach offers. And it is one and a half block to the Ocean; the bay and sunsets are viewable off any of the three decks in the front of the unit.
There are two dedicated parking spots in front of the unit, an outside shower and a porch off the back bedroom provides a cool spot for relaxing after the beach sun. The unit is available for partial weeks, weekends, and weekly rentals. Also the unit is not available year round. Rental season is 17 April to 18 October 2015 and I usually winterize the property in late October or early November.
The unit will have a wifi system in it during the season. A phone is no longer provided, since most folks are using cells and telemarketers are a nuisance to those on vacation. A new 42 inch LCD TV has been wall mounted on the Main deck and new flat screen TVs are located in on each floor. There are pictures on the web site to more accurately reflect the recent upgrades. A new dining room table and 8 new chairs were acquired three years ago.

NotesI do not provide linens and towels. However, I have found a Rental Service in the area that provides a multitude of services, including providing linens and towels. They are known as The Grand Rental Station and located within 2 miles of my beach property. Their telephone number is 302-227-7368. They are available on line at www.227rent.com. For an additional fee they will deliver and pickup the linens they provide. Orders can be placed on line based on what you need. This takes me out of the laundry business and provides a viable option for those who find it inconvenient to bring their own linens and towels. The bedding configuration at my property is 3 Double beds and 4 twin beds.

Notwithstanding what is depicted or quoted, a 3 night minimum period that begins Thursday night or Friday night is considered the weekend. I suggest you call or email for a much better definition of the rates. Mid week rates and Shoulder season rates are negotiable and are usually about 1/2 the weekend rate. Also Payments for any booking are not required until 1 Jan on the year of the rental. I do not rent to persons under the age of 21 without a parents signature on the contract and special terms and conditions are required for contracts for graduating seniors. A sliding scale of $300 to $750 is used to determine the amount of the refundable security deposit for quests. The most common amount is $500.
